General warnings
Connection to external equipment
· The safety of the hearing aid when connected
to external equipment with an auxiliary
input cable and/or directly, is determined by
the external signal source. When connected
to external equipment plugged into a wall
outlet, this equipment must comply with IEC-
62368 (or IEC-60065, IEC-60950 until June
20, 2019) or equivalent safety standards.
Warning to hearing aid dispensers
A hearing aid dispenser should advise a
prospective hearing aid user to consult
promptly with a licensed physician (preferably
an ear specialist) before dispensing a hearing
aid if the hearing aid dispenser determines
through inquiry, actual observation, or review
of any other available information concerning
the prospective user, that the prospective user
has any of the following conditions:
