(3) Use environment (temperature/magnetic fields/shock etc)
• Because mechanical watches use metal parts to control their accuracy, changes in
temperature may cause the metal to expand or contract, which may affect the accuracy of the
watch.
• Because mechanical watches use metal parts, exposure to magnetic fields will affect their
accuracy. In order to keep the watch accurate, do NOT subject it to strongly-magnetized
objects.
• Strong shocks will also affect the accuracy.
