CAUTION: the safety precautions are part of the appliance. Read them carefully
before using your new appliance for the first time. Keep them in a place where you
can find and refer to them later on.

Always make sure that the speed selector switch is on position "0" before plugging
in the appliance.

To avoid injuries, ensure that your hair, your clothing or other objects do not come
into contact with the moving parts of the appliance.

Do not touch the beaters, the dough hooks or the balloon whisk (certain models only)
while the appliance is plugged in and do not insert any object (knife, fork, spoon, etc.)
into the holes, in order to avoid injuries to yourself or other people or damage to the
appliance. You may use a spatula only when the appliance is turned off.

In order to avoid damage to the appliance, do not place the appliance and its
accessories into the freezer, the conventional oven or the microwave oven.

The beaters, the dough hooks or the balloon whisks (certain models only) are
designed for food processing. Do not use them to mix other products.

Before using your appliance for the first time, remove the accessories from their
package and wash them in warm water.

Dry thoroughly.

Make sure that the speed selector switch (b) is on position "0" (fig. 1).

Insert the shafts of the beaters (c) or the dough hooks (d) or the balloon whisk (certain
models only) (e) into the specially designed holes. The balloon whisk (certain models
only) can be inserted either into the left or the right hole of the appliance.
Once inserted, the two beaters should have the same length. When they are properly
fixed and inserted, you will hear a "click".

Plug in the appliance.

According to the quantity of food to be processed, place the ingredients into an
appropriate container (preferably a deep bowl or tumbler).

Immerse the beaters into the food before turning on the appliance so as to avoid
splatters.
