If the wind turbine output were to be measured with an oscilloscope (a professional graphic
display device), the actual voltage waveform would look like that below:

2. In order to smooth out these voltage ripples, a capacitor will be added to the circuit as in
the setup below. Make sure to hookup the capacitor with the positive (+) lead going
to the red OUTPUT terminal and the negative (-) lead going to the black OUTPUT
terminal.
