IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS AND WARNINGS

Read all instructions before using and save for future use.
When using this pump and other electrical products, basic safety precautions
should always be maintained, including the following:
DANGER: To reduce the risk of electrocution
• ALWAYS unplug this product immediately after using.
• DO NOT use while bathing.
• DO NOT place or store this product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub
or sink.
• DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquid.
• DO NOT reach for an electrical product that has fallen into water. Unplug the
product immediately.
• NEVER immerse pump unit or AC adapter in water or attempt to sanitize in a
microwave oven.
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury to persons:
• Use this product only for its intended use as described in these instructions.
• Breast pumps are personal care items, for one user only.
• This product should never be left unattended when plugged in.
• NEVER use while sleepy or drowsy.
• Close supervision is necessary when this product is used near children.
• DO NOT allow small children or pets to play with the pump unit, flange,
AC adapter, etc. These parts may pose a choking or strangulation hazard.
• Pump contains small parts which could cause a child to choke. Keep pump parts
and accessories out of children's reach.
• DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• DO NOT use this product if it is broken or any parts are missing.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening of the pump unit.
• DO NOT use flange insert if your nipple is larger than the flange insert's
center opening. See page 8 for proper flange fit.
• If you are experiencing engorgement, prevent possible injury by discontinuing use
of this pump and consulting a medical provider.
• NEVER operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, dropped into water, or if any parts
are broken or missing.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• DO NOT use outdoors with the AC adapter or operate where aerosol spray
products are being used, or oxygen is being administered.

• Operate pump using ONLY 3 "AA" name-brand batteries (not included) or with
the Evenflo AC adapter provided, and plug the adapter into a standard
wall outlet.
• Operate the AC adapter on 100 – 240 volts 50/60 Hz AC only. Connect only to
household outlet power supplies of this description. For use in countries outside
North America, a plug converter (not included) may be required.
• Protect power cord and AC adapter cord. Route cords so that they are not walked
on or pinched by items placed upon them.
• DO NOT, under any circumstances, use this AC adapter with any other
equipment. Likewise, do not use the adapter from any other product on this
breast pump.
• Adapter must be removed for battery operation. In case of a power outage,
batteries will not act as a backup if the adapter is engaged.
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries. DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon-
zinc), or rechargeable batteries; leakage, explosion, and/or fire could occur.
• Remove batteries before storing unit for a prolonged period of time.
• DO NOT heat breast milk in the microwave. Microwaving can destroy nutrients
in breast milk and can heat liquids unevenly resulting in burns or scalds.
See page 11 for proper use of breast milk.
• DO NOT re-freeze breast milk. After feeding, any unused breast milk left in the
bottle can be refrigerated and used within 4 to 6 hours. See page 12 for proper
milk storage.
• ALWAYS test temperature of liquid before feeding.
• If you are a mother who is infected with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), pumping breast milk will not reduce or remove
the risk of transmitting the virus to your baby through your breast milk.
