About This Manual This manual explains how to set up and use Kite® Supplemental Display. Important safety information relating to general use of Kite appears in this manual. Read and follow any warnings, cautions, and notes presented throughout this manual. The following are explanations of warnings, cautions, and notes.

WARNING: Kite does not generate or manage alarms. The connected device's alarms, used in conjunction with clinical signs and symptoms, are the primary sources for determining that an alarm condition exists. CAUTION: Kite is not a primary display. Medical decisions should be made using data from the primary display of a device in conjunction with clinical signs and symptoms.
Compliance Warnings and Cautions WARNING: Do not attempt to repair or modify any part of Kite host device doing so may void the warranty or the authorization to use the Kite host device. WARNING: Disposal of product - Comply with local laws in the disposal of Kite host device and/or its accessories.
Note: For complete information on setup and use, refer to the Operator's Manual or Directions For Use for Kite host device. Note: For proper operation, Kite host device and Masimo devices must be connected to the same network. For more information, contact your network administrator.

See Expanding/Collapsing Waveform Displays on page 26. Allows trend time intervals to be configured in Kite. Trend settings configured in Kite do not affect trend settings in a device. To configure trend settings in a device, see the device's operator's manual.
Registering/Logging In to Kite Registering a New User A new user must register in Kite. Follow the instructions below to register a new user account. If a user account has already been registered, see Logging In to Kite on page 15.

• Press/select the Register button to complete the new user registration. After pressing/selecting the Register button, the user account will automatically log in to Kite and the device list screen will appear. • To connect Kite to a device in the list, see Connecting to a Device on page 19.

Logging In to Kite Follow the instructions below to log in to Kite. If a user does not have a registered account, or if they have forgotten their login credentials, they will not be able to log in to Kite and must register as a new user. See Registering a New User on page 13.
In the device list, press/select the menu icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Press/select Log Out. After successfully logging out, the Login screen will appear. To log in to a user account, see Logging In to Kite on page 15. Masimo Corporation www.masimo.com...

Press/select the check mark in the bottom-right corner of the screen to add the device The device will appear in the device list screen. To view the device's parameter data on Kite, see Connecting to a Device on page 19.
In the device list, press/select the device to connect to Kite. If a device is not in the list, see Adding a Device to Kite on page 17. After successful connection, the device's parameter data will appear on the Kite display. See Navigating the Kite Display on page 23.

Kite requests a pairing key to connect with a device. On the device screen, the Kite Pairing key is displayed. If the pairing key window is closed, go to the Kite settings in the device to view the pairing key. For more information, see the device operator's manual.
While viewing the Kite display, press/select the Menu in the upper-right corner of the screen. Press/select Disconnect. The device is disconnected from Kite and the device list will be displayed. To re-connect to the same device or to connect to a different device: •...

Showing/Hiding Channel Windows Follow the instructions below to select channels displayed on Kite. Up to four (4) channels can be displayed on Kite. The channels available for selection match those available on the connected device. If the device is not equipped with a certain channel, that channel will not be available as an option.

Kite Chapter 2: Operation Customizing Channel Windows Channel windows can be customized by expanding and minimizing parameters and measurements. When a parameter is minimized, it is only displayed in the well with its numeric value and parameter label. When a parameter is expanded, it will be shown as a trend view. See how to expand and minimize parameters below.
