Introduction of Power Boost Technology
EF3000iSEB is equipped with a DC-DC converter, which supplies supplemental electric current to the invert-
er control unit to boost up the generator output for maximum 10 seconds.
DC-DC converter (Power Boost Technology)
DC-DC converter is an electrical device to step up DC
voltage. In case of EF3000iSEB, DC-DC converter step
up the battery voltage, 12 volts, to 190 volts.
DC-DC converter is automatically activated to increase
generator output when the AC output current exceeds
20 amps and the voltage at the condenser inside the
control unit drops down to below 190 volts.
The power source is a 12-V battery that is installed in
the generator to operate starter motor. DC-DC convert-
er works for maximum 10 seconds, only when large
amount of starting current is needed and increases max-
imum output of generator from 3000 VA to 3200 VA
temporarily.
