NOTE
On Android OS 2.3 and above, you can
download applications from Play Store and
store them on a micro SD card as well as
on the phone. Due to this feature, if you
skip the unmount procedure, it can cause
an error because information between
the micro SD card and the phone is not
accorded properly. In the worst case,
the micro SD card can be corrupted or
damaged.

From the Home screen, tap the
and tap
Settings > SD card & phone
storage > Unmount SD card.

Remove the battery cover and gently pull
the microSD card from the slot.
Warning
Do not remove the micro SD card without
unmounting it first. Otherwise, it may
damage the micro SD card as well as your
phone, and the data stored on the micro
SD card may be corrupted.
Formatting the microSD card
Your microSD card may already be formatted.
Menu Key
If it isn't, you must format it before you can
use it.
