Meaning
The maximum number of groups in the
built-in flash memory or the "Memory
Stick" has been exceeded.
All operation buttons are disabled since the
HOLD switch is set to on.
The battery is low.
The memory is full or there are 400
groups.
An unauthorized distribution file is
detected for copyright protection.
The erasure prevention switch of
"Memory Stick" is set to "LOCK."
There is no audio files in the
built-in flash memory or "Memory Stick".
Other than MagicGate-compatible
"Memory Stick Duo" is inserted.
There are no data in "Memory Stick".
Read-only "Memory Stick" is inserted.
• You cannot access "Memory Stick".
• There is a problem with "Memory Stick"
or your Network Walkman.
The inserted "Memory Stick" is not
compatible with your Network Walkman.
Remedy
After transferring the necessary groups to
your computer, erase the groups. For details
on how to transfer groups to your computer,
refer to online Help for the SonicStage
software.
Set the HOLD switch to off to operate the
buttons.
Charge the battery.
Delete songs or groups. A group without song
is also regarded as one group. To delete
groups without song, use the SonicStage
software.
Transfer normal audio files back to the
computer and then format "Memory Stick" on
your Network Walkman. (For details, refer to
"To delete abnormal data from a "Memory
Stick" or built-in flash memory" (page 55).)
Set the erasure prevention switch to off when
you format a "Memory Stick", transfer audio
data connecting your Network Walkman to
the computer, or connect your Network
Walkman to the digital/analog audio device
for recording (NW-MS77DR).
If there is no audio files in the "Memory
Stick", use the SonicStage software to
transfer audio files.
Insert the MagicGate-compatible "Memory
Stick Duo" (not supplied). For details, refer to
"On "MagicGate Memory Stick" " on page 8.
Use the SonicStage software to transfer audio
files.
Insert the MagicGate-compatible "Memory
Stick Duo" (not supplied). For details, refer to
"On "MagicGate Memory Stick" " on page 8.
Remove and reinsert "Memory Stick".
If the problem persists, bring your Network
Walkman and "Memory Stick" to your
nearest Sony dealer.
Insert MagicGate-compatible "Memory Stick
Duo" (not supplied) to the slot as needed.
