Symptom
There is no beep sound when your
Network Walkman is operated.
"Memory Stick" cannot be inserted
into the slot.
The current time is reset.
Your Network Walkman, the USB
cradle or the recording USB cradle gets
warm.
"Memory Stick" used on other devices
cannot be used.
Groups in "Memory Stick" cannot be
found.
Audio files stored in "Memory Stick"
cannot be played using other device
supporting "Memory Stick".

Cause/Remedy
BEEP is set to "OFF."
c In the menu mode, set "BEEP" to "ON" (page 37).
• The "Memory Stick" is being inserted in the wrong direction.
c Be sure to insert "Memory Stick" in the right direction on your
Network Walkman (page 15, 19).
• You labelled the "Memory Stick".
c Do not label the "Memory Stick".
You did not operate your Network Walkman for a long period without
charging it.
c This is not malfunction.
The battery is being charged or just charged.
c Your Network Walkman, the USB cradle or the recording USB cradle
may get warm when the battery is being charged or just charged
because of quick charge.
"Memory Stick" has been formatted on the other device such as a
computer.
c Transfer necessary data to other memory such as a computer's hard
disk and reformat "Memory Stick" on your Network Walkman
(page 44).
The data stored in the "Memory Stick" or the built-in flash memory
were edited using a device that does not support the Group function.
c Regrouping before connecting to the computer may restore the groups
(page 42).
You are trying to play ATRAC3plus format files using a device that
does not support the ATRAC3plus format.
c ATRAC3plus format files can be played only on devices supporting
the ATRAC3plus format.
