ADJUSTMENTS
Matching the probe to the oscilloscope:
Connect the probe to the CAL socket of the oscilloscope.
A trimmer can be adjusted for the I. f. response through a hole in the
compensation box to obtain optimum square-wave response.
Adjusting the h.f. response:
The h.f. step response has been adjusted by the manufacturer to match the
oscilloscope input. For optimum pulse response, the probe can be adjusted
to match your particular oscilloscope. Connect the probe for a fast pulse
generator (rise-time max. 1 ns) which is terminated by its characteristic
impedance. The generator must have a 6 div/100 kHz pulse. Adjust both
potentiometers inside the compensation box to obtain optimum
square-wave response. It is important that the leading edge is as steep, and
the top is as flat, at possible.
