Cause/Remedy
• You cannot operate the player while the player is connected to the
computer.
Cause/Remedy
• "Menu Mode" is set to "Simple".
, Set the "Menu Mode" to "Advanced" to display all the menu
items.
• The volume is low.
, Turn up the volume.
• No disc is inserted.
, Insert a recorded disc.
• The HOLD function is turned on ("HOLD" appears in the display
when you press an operation button on the player).
, On the player, disable HOLD by sliding the HOLD switch to the
opposite direction of the arrow
• The lid is not firmly closed.
, Close the lid until it clicks. Then slide OPEN to open the lid.
• Moisture has condensed inside the player.
, Take the disc out and leave the player in a warm place for several
hours until the moisture evaporates.
• The dry battery is weak ("LOW BATTERY" flashes or nothing
appears).
, Replace the dry battery with a new one.
• The disc is damaged or does not contain proper recording or editing
data.
, Reinsert the disc. If the error message still appears, replace it with
another disc.
• There is a built-in malfunction in the system.
• While operating, the player received a mechanical shock, too much
static, abnormal power voltage caused by lightning, etc.
, Restart the operation as follows.
1 Disconnect all the power sources and the dedicated USB cable.
2 Leave the player for about 30 seconds.
3 Connect the power source.
• The player was disconnected from the power source.
, Let the player sit for a while, or disconnect the power source,
reconnect it, and then press any of the operation buttons.
