Connect the USB cable to the USB

power adapter.

Plug the USB power adapter into a

power outlet.

The status lamp of the camera turns on and
charging starts.
Depending on the battery level, the charg-
ing time differs. An exhausted battery will be
fully recharged in about three hours (at 25°C
(77°F)).
When charging is complete, the status lamp
turns off. Unplug the USB power adapter
from the power outlet.

• Approximately 320 pictures can be taken when the battery is fully charged.
• This is based on tests conducted according to CIPA standards under the following conditions: At 23°C
(73°F) temperature; the picture display is on; a picture is taken every 30 seconds; the camera is turned
off and back on after 10 pictures are taken.
• The storage capacity is for reference. For long periods of use, it is recommended that you carry spare
batteries.
Caution -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• Use only genuine rechargeable battery (DB-110).
• If the battery starts to run down more quickly even after being charged, the battery has reached the
end of its service life. In this case, replace the battery with a new one.
• The battery may become very hot immediately after operation. Turn the camera off and leave it to
cool down sufficiently before removing the battery.

• You can also charge the battery by connecting the camera to a computer using the USB cable. An
exhausted battery will be fully recharged in approximately 5 hours. (p.110)
• The battery can also be recharged with the optional battery charger BJ-11.
