Troubleshooting Tips

Symptom
LED will not light on RECORD button press
LED will not light on SEND button press
Will not record
Recorded event has been erased
Very inconsistent tone (warble) when recording an
event.
Phone ring sound every minute for 10 minutes
Phone ring sound when RECORD button is pushed Memory is full; follow instructions To Send and Erase Events.
Phone ring sound once
Three beeps every five minutes for 1 hour
No information received by Monitoring Center

Recommended Solution
Replace dead batteries.
The LED lights only when one or more events are stored in the monitor.
Dead batteries, replace with new batteries.
Ensure RECORD button is held for two seconds.
Memory full phone ring. Follow instructions To Send and Erase Events.
Be careful not to manually erase recorded events by simultaneously pressing the
RECORD and SEND buttons for two seconds, until an audible sound is heard.
All recorded events are erased when any of the programming switches are
changed and then batteries are installed.
Reposition the monitor to obtain a better connection between the monitor
and your skin. A clean audible heartbeat sound will be heard when a good
connection is made.
Memory is full; follow instructions To Send and Erase Events.
An event is already stored in memory at start up, also heard at the end of a
recorded event. Follow instructions To Send and Erase Events.
Batteries are low. Replace batteries and/or clean battery contacts.
Make sure mouthpiece of phone is directly over monitor speaker.
Ensure SEND button is held for two seconds.
