If you are not familiar with the Parental Guideline rating system, you should select Child, Youth, or
Y. Adult to help simplify the rating selection. To set more specific ratings, select Custom.

enter a four-digit password.
The Parental Lock option
appears.
Description
Off Turn Parental Lock off. No programs are blocked from viewing.
Child Maximum ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-Y, TV-G, G
Canada: C, G, TV-Y
Youth
Maximum ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-PG, PG
Canada: C8+, PG, 8 ans+, TV-PG
Y. Adult Maximum ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-14, PG-13
Canada: 14+, 13 ans+, TV-14
Custom... Select to set ratings manually.

Canada: See page 42 for details.
Off Turn Digital Rating off. No programs that contain downloadable
ratings are blocked from viewing.
Custom...
Select to block programs based on downloadable ratings.
Clear All Select to clear the entire downloadable rating system.

This action will delete the current Digital Rating menu and the menu will no
longer be available until the TV is tuned to a channel that contains
downloadable ratings.

This icon will appear on the information banner across the screen
indicating the availability of the new downloadable rating information when the
Digital Rating is set to the Custom option.

This setting is only available if digital ratings have been downloaded by your
TV and ratings have been set for U.S.A. in Select Country (see page 41).
