Safety Precautions Before Operation • • Carefully study and understand this owner's manual. Never exceed the ATV or utility vehicle manufacturer's load rating. • Read and follow chemical manufacturer's labels, • warnings, and instructions! Assembly Instructions Boom Mount Bracket & Gauge Assembly Attach the ATV-BASE (1) to the boom mounting brackets (2) with four carriage bolts (6) and four flange nuts (7) as seen in figure 1. Thread the pressure gauge into the top of the 4-way cross fitting (a) as seen in figure 2.
Mounting the Sprayer Wiring Harness The wiring harness needs to be connected to a DC power source (vehicle battery) or a power access point providing atleast 12 volts & 10 amps of current to the ring terminals on the fuse harness (3) (Figure 1).
Calibrating the Sprayer Note: All calibration needs to be done with water only! When spraying with the boom, the sprayer must be calibrated to ensure proper spray coverage. Before calibrating the sprayer, it is important to familiarize yourself with the operating instructions (page 10). The calibration process is simplified when broken down into the following three steps: Calculate the speed of the ATV or utility vehicle.
Calibrating the Sprayer 3. Adjusting the Sprayer Pressure You have found the correct pressure setting, but must now adjust the sprayer to that pressure setting. The relief valve (2) (Figure 1) controls the sprayer's pressure and is located in front of the pressure gauge (1) (Figure 1). Before spraying, turn the relief valve and watch the pressure gauge until it reads the correct pressure found from step 2 on page 10.
