Symptom
You hear interference during
conversation.
You hear a beep every second
during a conversation and " "
appears on the display.
You hear a beep twice per
second and "BATTERY LOW"
appears on the display.
You hear five short error beeps
and cannot store a number on a
one-touch dial or in the Phone
Directory.
You hear five short error beeps
when you try to make a one-
touch dial call.
One-touch dialing or Phone
Directory dialing is incorrect.
The cordless handset does not
ring when you use the intercom
from the base phone, and the
base phone does not ring when
you use the intercom from the
cordless handset.
When pressing (INTERCOM) on
the cordless handset, you hear a
busy tone and cannot make an
intercom call.
Remedy
• Move the cordless handset closer to the base phone.
• Place the base phone away from noise sources
(page 8).
• Place the base phone so that the antenna keeps away
from metal products.
• This is the out-of-range alarm. Move the cordless
handset closer to the base phone within 30 seconds.
• The battery is weak. Charge the battery for more than
12 hours (page 11).
• Make sure you follow the procedure for storing the
number correctly (pages 39, 43).
• You have pressed a one-touch dialing button on
which no phone number has been stored.
• Store the correct number (pages 39, 43).
• The battery may be week. Charge the battery for more
than 12 hours (page 11).
• Move the cordless handset closer to the base phone.
• Place the base phone away from noise sources
(page 8).
• The base phone is being used to converse with an
outside caller.
