NOTICE REGARDING EMISSIONS The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) for engines/equipment certified to California standards, requires that the engine/equipment complies with exhaust and evaporative emissions standards. Locate the emissions compliance decal on the engine to determine applicable standards. It is important to follow the maintenance specifications in the manual to ensure that the engine complies with the applicable emissions standards for the duration of the product’s life.

Install frame foot as shown in Figure 1-1. Place frame foot assembly (D) under frame. Secure with bolts (E) and nut (F). Model 716174 7000 Watts Install handle as shown in Figure 2-2. NOTE: The wheels are not intended for over- Slide bolts (G) through frame and the-road use.
The following section describes steps necessary to prepare the generator for use. Failure to perform these steps properly can damage the generator or shorten its lifespan.
Step 2 - ADD GASOLINE DANGER: Fuel and vapors are extremely flammable and explosive. Add fuel in a well ventilated area and keep fire and spark away. Failure to do so could result in death or serious injury. A nearby open flame can lead to explosion even if not directly in contact with gasoline. DANGER: Do not overfill fuel tank.

STARTING THE ENGINE To start the generator, perform the following steps: Unplug all electrical devices from the generator during ignition. Otherwise it will be difficult for the engine to start. Check that the generator is properly grounded. Check the oil and fuel levels. Turn the fuel valve to the “ON”...
STOPPING THE ENGINE To stop the generator, perform the following steps: • Turn off all electrical devices prior to unplugging them from the generator. Unplugging running devices can cause damage to the generator. • Turn the “ON/OFF” switch to the “OFF” position. •...
MAINTENANCE Follow maintenance schedule intervals, whichever occurs first according to use. NOTE: Adverse conditions will require more frequent service. Turn knob and remove air filter cover. Wash in soapy water. Squeeze filter dry in clean cloth. DO NOT twist. Clean air filter cover before reinstalling it. INSPECT MUFFLER SPARK ARRESTOR Inspect muffler for cracks, corrosion or other damage. Remove spark arrestor, if equipped, inspect for damage or carbon blockage. Replace parts as required. Loosen spark arrestor screen clamp and remove screw. Inspect screen and replace if torn, perforated or otherwise damaged. If screen is not damaged, clean with commercial solvent.
STORAGE DANGER: Fuel and vapors are extremely flammable and explosive. Store fuel in a well ventilated area. Keep away from any sparks and fire. Failure to do so will result in death or serious injury. WARNING: Verify machine has properly cooled before installing cover and storing. Hot surfaces could result in fire.
