Determining TUSEND
A tool for calculating the TUSEND value is available online at the Internet address below
(article ID 1651770):
http://www4.ad.siemens.de/view/cs/en/1651770
Note
To enable monitoring of the maximum communication delay when the reserve is updated in
S7 FH Systems, you must assign a value to this parameter in
for the CPU, "H-Parameters" tab.
Simultaneous updating in both F-CPUs is not assumed.
A.4.4
Minimum Monitoring Time for Safety-Related Communication between F-Runtime
Groups
TIMEOUT Parameter in F_R_BO or F_R_R
Time monitoring takes place in F-blocks F_R_BO or F_R_R and is assigned in the TIMEOUT
input parameter.
To ensure that time monitoring does not respond when no faults are present, the selected
TIMEOUT monitoring time must be at least as large as the greater of the two maximum time
interrupt cycle times for F_S_R or F_S_BO and F_R_R or F_R_BO:
TIMEOUT > MAX (TClmax, F_S; TCImax, F_R)
TIMEOUT > than the greater of the two values
