Intended Use Turn to this Guide Gear® Food Dehydrator to make high quality foods such as venison jerky, dehydrated freshly picked vegetables from your garden, and fruit leather. This 5 tray dehydrator is intended for household use only. You can also use it to make certain crafts, such as drying flowers, dough art and beads.

Grounding WARNING • This food dehydrator must be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electrical shock. This unit is equipped with an electrical cord that has an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug MUST be plugged into a matching receptacle that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with ALL local codes and ordinances.
Extension Cords WARNING • It is recommended that you do not use an extension cord with this food dehydrator. • If you do, USE A PROPER EXTENSION CORD. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw.
