Another
VCR
malfunctions
when you
use the supplied
Remote
Commander.
• Select a con'unandcr
mode ()tiler than VTR
2 for your VCR.
• Cover the sensor of your VCR with black
paper.
• Fully charge the hattery ag lin. If the
problem persists, filebattery may be worn-
out. Replace it with a new one (p. 13, 93).
• The indicated time may not be correct in
certain
circtlnlstances.
For
examp]e,
when
you open or close the LCD panel it takes
about 1 minute to display the correct
remaining battery time.
The power abruptly turns off.
• When approximately 5 minutes ha_e
elapsed while you do not operate your
camcorder, the camcorder is automatically
turned off (A.SHUT OFF). Change the
setting of [A.SHUT OFF] (p. 61), or turn
on the power again (p. 16), or use the AC
Adaptor.
• Charge the battery pack (p. 13).
The _/CHG (charge) lamp does not
light while the battery pack is being
charged.
• Slide tile POWER sx_itch to OFF (CHG)
(p. 13).
• Attach the hattery pack to the camcorder
correctly (p. 13).
• Connect Ihe power cord (mains lead) to the
wall outlet (wall socket) properly.
• The battery charge is completed lp. 13).
The
_/CHG
(charge)
lamp
flashes
while
the
battery
pack
is being
charged.
• Attach the battery
Dack to the camcorder
correctly
(p. 13). If the problem
persists,
disconnect
the AC Adaptor
from the wall
outlet (wall socket) and contact your Sony
dealer. The battery pack may be damaged.
The remaining battery time indicator
does not indicate the correct time.
• Amhient
temperature
is too high or to() low,
or the hattery
pack has not been ch irge(l
enough.
This is not a malfunction.
The battery
pack discharges too
quickly.
• Ambient temperature is too high or low, or
the battely, pack has not been charged
enough. This is not a malffmction.
• Fully charge the hattery again. If the
problem persists, the h ittery may be worn-
out. Replace it with a new one (p. 13, 93).
You cannot turn the LCD backlight
off.
• During Easy Handycam
operation,
you
cannot turn the LCD backlight
on/offby
pressing and holding
DISPLAY/BATT
INFO (p. 22).
You cannot turn off the indicator.

The
buttons
do not
appear
on the
touch
panel.
• Touch the LCD screen lightly.
