 Screw the new cartridge into the
holder upside down.
 Push the holder and cartridge into the
coffee machine until the holder
audibly clicks into place.
 Put the maintenance container back
inside the coffee machine and close
the machine door.

Automatic descaling

Automatic descaling takes
approx. 2 hours, including the activation
phase.
To ensure the longevity of
components and a consistent
environment free of limescale, the
coffee machine needs to be manually
descaled from time to time. The
intervals are determined by your
usage behaviour and the water
hardness level of your area. If you
make a lot of coffees with milk, for
example, you will need to descale the
coffee machine more frequently with
the descaling tablets.

The Miele descaling cartridge

Only use the Miele descaling
cartridge for the automatic descaling
programme.
Please note that the Miele descaling
cartridge has a lifespan of
approx. 1 year after it has been
placed in the machine and filled with
water for the first time. Critical for the
one-year lifespan is the date on
which the descaling cartridge was
fitted and filled with water.
Do not fit a descaling cartridge which
has already been used in another
Miele coffee machine. Your coffee
machine will have no information
about the fill level of this cartridge.
The descaling effect may be
insufficient and damage your coffee
machine.
Do not fill the descaling cartridge
with other fluids or substances.
