    Fully SAE J1627 compliant, STARTEK will detect leaks as small as 0.1 oz/yr (3g/year) in R12, R22, R134a and other halogen refrigerant systems.
  • Page 3 If a leak exists, the sound will increase in rate and pitch and the LED will start flashing rapidly. To turn the STARTEK off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. FEATURES  If the sensor is damaged, a sweeping alarm and a red-green flash will indicate the problem.
  • Page 4 For the purpose of Automotive A/C Testing with respect to the SAE J1627 standard, the following leak testing procedure applies: Operate the Startek in high sensitivity mode. Leak test with the engine not in operation. The air conditioning system shall be charged with sufficient refrigerant to have a gauge pressure of at least 340 kPa when not in operation.

  • Page 9 VERFAHREN Bei Autoklimaanlagen bezogen auf SAE J1627 muss der Lecktest wie folgt vorgenommen werden Stellen Sie den STARTEK auf die maximale Sensitivität. Der Lecktest muss bei ausgeschaltetem Motor ausgeführt werden. Die Klimaanlage muss mit ausreichend Kühlmittel gefüllt sein, um einen Druck von mindestens 340 kPa (50 psi) auf der Manometer anzeige zu haben.
  • Page 10 Deutsch Die fraglichen Bereiche mit der Detektorsonde abtasten, besonders alle Anschlüsse, Schlauchkupplungen, Kühlmittelsteuerungen, Wartungsschlüsse mit aufgesetzter Kappe, hartgelötete oder geschweisste Stellen, sowie die Bereiche der Leitungs- und Bauteilbefestigungen.     Premere il tasto giallo per accendere lo strumento. Lampeggia un indicatore arancione fino quando l’Auto-Reset è impostato, dopodiché l’indicatore cambia colore in verde e lo strumento emette un segnale acustico: adesso STARTEK è pronto per l’uso. Per azzerare la sensibilità ad eventuali contaminazioni di refrigerante diffuse in ambiente, premere il tasto una volta.

     Avvitare il sensore nuovo in senso orario MANUTENZIONE Lo STARTEK è costruito per funzionare per molti anni. La sostituzione delle pile e del sensore si deve effettuare occasionalmente e rientra nelle normali manutenzioni dovute all'uso. Per pulire il cercafughe utilizzare un panno morbido umido, eventualmente leggermente insaponato.
