  • Page 5 W indows ‘ 95 Plug and Play Installation If a dialog box appears during Windows ‘ 95 startup announcing that the program has found a SOLA 320 UPS, you may follow the steps below for quick CheckUPS II installation. When Windows ‘ 95 displays the New Hardware Found dialog box, select the Driver from disk provided by hardware manufac- turer option, and click the OK button.

    SOLA 320 UPS Features The SOLA SOLA 320 UPS system provides protection against power problems, including power outages, brownouts, and sudden increases in power. It also provides spike suppression and line noise filtering to protect your equipment. Front panel LEDs and an audible alarm keep you aware of the unit’ s status.

    Symbols, LEDs and Audible Beeps The front panel LEDs and an audible beep indicate the unit status. The unit sounds a series of beeps every five seconds whenever the unit is on battery power or an alarm is present. See Table 2.

    400VA Models and 750U and 1000U Models: Push the fuse holder back into the unit until it clicks into place. 400VA Models and 750U and 1000U Models: Reconnect the UPS power cord to the back of the SOLA 320 UPS. Switch on the unit.

    SOLA 320 UPS. Disconnect the line cord from the SOLA 320 UPS. On the bottom of the SOLA 320 UPS, remove the Phillips screw at the top of the battery door and slide the door off. The Answer in Power Protection...
  • Page 13 SOLA 320 UPS. Slide the battery door back into place and secure with the Phillips screw removed in step 3. Reconnect the line cord to the SOLA 320 UPS unit and turn the unit on. Reconnect the load equipment.

    OS/2 Windows 3.X, 95 and NT Novell NetWare SOLA offers interface kits that allow you to connect many other computer systems to the SOLA 320 UPS’ s communication port. For the following computer systems, or specific information on SOLA interface kits, call SOLA’ s Worldwide Service or your local SOLA dealer.

    SOLA Dry Type Transformers also have an extended warranty - 5 years from date of despatch. All SOLA Single Phase UPS products have an extended warranty - 2 years from date of despatch. SOLA 4000 3 Phase UPS have an extended warranty - 2 years from date of despatch.

  • Page 21 Shipments must be made in the original packing container. Damage resulting from shipment in a non-original container will void this warranty. For proper handling upon receipt at SOLA, the R/A Number must be clearly placed in several locations on the outside of the package. SOLA will not be responsible for damage to returned goods that have not been properly packaged or damage exceeding normal wear and tear.
