Birdy/Equinox: replacement of sleeve at folding hinge

The silver sleeve at the new folding hinge has to be re­
placed against a black clamp. Please read the following
instructions for the replacement.
Bolt M4, right, incl. washer
Grub screw

Tension rod

Disassembly
1.
Remove both bolts M4 at the left and right side of
excenter. Remove the cap.
2.
Remove nut with a 8mm wrench. Hold the tension
rod with a 2.5mm allen key while loosening the nut
(insert the allen key into the tension rod, see
arrow).

4.
Open the lever and loosen the two bolts M4x16 by a
half turn. Then pull off the lever.
5.
Push the excenter to the right side (use a plastic
hammer). Then loosen the grub screw at the bolt
(2mm allen key, one turn is enough).
6.
Pull of the bolt at the right side.
7.
Push out the excenter to the left side.
ATTENTION: The stem is loose now and could fall
down. Take care of the washers A (see arrows).

Take out tension rod and cone. Disassemble tension
rod, cone and sleeve.
