Power Requirements “Baby” Unit The adapter should be used at all times. Insert one end of the adapter into the unit, then plug the other end into a wall outlet. The 3 AAA (UM-4 1.5V) batteries (purchase separately) are for backup use only. - Page 23 Power Requirements “Parent” Unit This unit uses a rechargeable battery pack (3 AAA/UM-4 NiMH).
