The use of threaded inserts with SCREWLOCK and the dynamic load on ® the adjusting screw mean that only original spare parts from Festo with the appropriate strength class may be used. Otherwise the screws can break prematurely. The clamping bodies must not touch the slide when they are being screwed in as otherwise the toothed belt could become overstretched and the service life of the toothed belt would be reduced.
222 mm/50 mm Alternatives for toothed belt axes with very short stroke. Note The longer strand length should preferably be set if possible. A longer freely oscillating strand length reduces the variation of the measurement results. Festo 7EGC_TB_KFb_en 23 / 42...

Turning the socket head screw anticlockwise decreases the tension in the toothed belt, and with this its oscillation frequency. • Place the cover cap in the drive cover. 24 / 42 Festo 7EGC_TB_KFb_en...
For this reason, several measurements should always be carried out to differentiate the necessary basic oscillation (natural frequency) from the harmonic oscillation. Only this frequency can be used to extrapolate the force acting along the strand. Festo 7EGC_TB_KFb_en 25 / 42...
Cutting the toothed belt to length The toothed belt is ordered from the online spare parts catalogue (spareparts.Festo.com) using the corresponding part number. The part number is a module number and is dependent on the size of the toothed belt axis. You must specify the stroke, the stroke reserve and the type of slide required for your toothed belt axis in addition to the part number when ordering.

These versions cannot be relubricated. Documents Festo offers a one-hand high-pressure grease gun with a suitable pinpoint nozzle for greasing the lubricating holes. See Special tools in section 6.2 “Special tools”.
Lubrication intervals The roller carriages should be relubricated with Festo LUB-KC1 after 3 years or a corresponding distance (load-dependent) (see operating instructions, chapter 8). Warning The lubrication intervals are halved under the following operating conditions: • Ambient temperatures > 40 °C.
