1.7 Operating Instructions

1.7.1 Switches, Connectors and Indicators

The switches, connectors and Indicators for the ePAQ-9150 are located at the front
and rear faceplate of the ePAQ-9100 module. Please refer to the ePAQ-9100 User
Guide (UG-1037) for more details. The ePAQ-9150 switches, connectors and
terminal blocks functions are as follows:
POWER (ON/OFF) Switch
This switch controls the primary power to the panel.
POWER Connections
This is a 3-position terminal block where AC or DC power can be connected
depending on the options ordered.
Communications Ports
Various communications options are available depending on the ePAQ module
ordered. Choices range from RS-232, RS-485, 202T Modems, 10/100 Base-T and
100 Base-FX fiber.
Local I/O Ports
Ribbon Cable Ports are available to connect Status, Analog and Control Panels to
the ePAQ module.
IRIG-B Ports
An external time sync can be connected to the ePAQ module for additional accuracy.
FUSE
The power line input is protected by a 3 AMP 3AG fast acting fuse for all available
input power options.
Maintenance Port
A maintenance port is provided at the ePAQ front panel for troubleshooting and
configuration.
LED INDICATORS
There are 10 LEDs to monitor communications and CPU heartbeat that are mounted
on the ePAQ-9100 front panel. Please refer to the ePAQ-9100 User Guide, UG-1037
for further details.
