1.6.5 Circuit Panel Locations

The ePAQ-9150 RTU electronics are panel mounted boards. When additional
optional functions are required, a card frame may be installed in the RTU rack, this
card frame can accommodate up to eight (8) plug-in cards. The ePAQ-9150 options
are included in Appendix A. Appendix A is included in this manual only when an
option is purchased with the ePAQ-9150.

1.6.6 ePAQ-9150 Expansion

The ePAQ-9150 Substation Terminal Node, when fully configured and if the rack has
adequate space, will accept up to eight (8) 6AIP1 Analog Input panels, sixteen (16)
6COP1 Control Output panels and sixteen (16) 6SIP1 Status Input panels.
On ePAQ-9150s installed in the field, it is possible to expand its capability (up to the
limits specified in section 1.2.5) by adding additional Analog, Control and/or Status
panels.
To add panels of any given type refer to the ePAQ-9150 Equipment Layout drawings
supplied with the system, review the drawing. For example, on the 19" rack
configuration, on the front facing side, the 6AIP1 panels start in the upper right-hand
corner, A1; this is the first panel. In a similar fashion, the 6COP1 panels are mounted
on the rear of the rack. The first 6COP1 panel is located at D1. The 6SIP1 panels are
mounted on the front facing side starting with the first panel at location B1 on the
upper left-hand corner.
To install additional panels, hardware for each panel and ribbon interconnecting
cables are required. If you are ordering additional panels of the same type, you must
specify panels with the same options as the ones in the ePAQ-9150 to be expanded.
The panel's part number and model designations and the interconnecting cable's
part number can be found in the Remote Terminal Unit's Parts List, or these can be
selected from the Ordering Information and Interconnecting Cables section on each
of the panel User's Guides.

