Charge the battery
Your phone is powered by a rechargeable battery. A new battery is partially charged and an
alarm will warn you when the battery reaches low. If the battery is completely flat, it will take 2
or 3 minutes of charging for its icon to reappear.
1. Make sure the battery and battery cover are attached to the phone. Pull away the
protective rubber cap covering the socket at the base of the phone (it is attached to the
phone so that you cannot lose it) and plug the connector of the charger (supplied with the
pone) into the socket, then plug the charger into a main AC power socket with easy access
on the other hand.

2. When charging (while the phone is switched off), and animiation will be displayed on the
main display as well as on the subdisplay. When the battery is fully charged, the phone will
emit an alert tone.
3. When the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger from the AC power socket and
the phone.
Note: You can also charge the battery when the phone is switched on.
Switch on the phone

Long press the On/Off key to switch on the phone. If "Please insert SIM card" appears on
the screen, it means that your SIM card has not been inserted correctly. Please check
whtehter the SIM card has been inserted correctly and is valid.。

Enter the PIN code if required (i.e. the 4 to 8-digit security code of your SIM card). It is
preconfigured and communicated to you by your operator or retailer. To personalize the
PIN code, see page 67-68.
Set date and time
When you switch on your phone for the first time, you will be prompted to set the current date
and time. Use the alphanumeric kepad to enter the correct date and time and then press OK
key to confirm.
