Code No. 64 Alternator FR terminal system
Range of Check
D During the engine running.
Set Condition
D Input voltage from the alternator FR terminal is system voltage for 20
seconds.
Check the following connector:
B-26
OK
Measure at the alternator connector
B-26.
D Use test harness (MB991519) to
connect the connector, and
measure at the pick-up harness.
D Ignition switch: ON
D The voltage between terminal 4
and earth
OK: 9
10 V
OK
Measure at the alternator connector
B-26.
D Use test harness (MB991519) to
connect the connector, and
measure at the pick-up harness.
D Engine: Idling (After warming up)
D Radiator fan: Not operating
D The voltage between terminal 4
and earth
OK: The voltage drops when
the headlamps are turned
on.
OK
Check the trouble symptoms.

Replace the engine-A/T-ECU.

D Measure the voltage at the

Check the trouble symptoms.
