Storing & transport instruments
Where the doseBadge 5 will not be used for extended periods the units can be set to Transport Mode. This will
prevent the badge from running and will minimise power consumption.
The doseBadge 5 can then be stored for long periods of time without charging the battery.
Please note that the battery will be depleted after approximately 4 weeks when Transport Mode is enabled.
If the doseBadge 5 is not set to Transport Mode, the battery will be depleted after approximately 7 days.

Transport Mode

The doseBadge 5 can be set into transport mode which will shuts down the instrument and disables the Shake-
to-Wake sensor and will set the instrument into the lowest power mode.
This can be used if the instrument is to be shipped or will be in transit where movement will activate the sensor
and wake the badge. This will result in the battery being drained.
When the transport mode is enabled, the doseBadge
deactivated. This will prevent the instrument from waking during transport and will prevent the battery from
being drained.
Before the doseBadge 5 can be used, it must be connected to a powered CU:120A Dock. This will disable the
Transport Mode and allow the instrument to be used as normal. The instrument must be fully charged before
use.
To enable the Transport Mode, connect the instrument to the NoiseTools software. From the configure menu,
select the Advanced tab.
Press CTRL+SHIFT+A keys and press the Enable Transport Mode button.
