TROUBLESHOOTING

For your safety, turn vacuum cleaner off and unplug power cord before
attempting to resolve problems.
PROBLEM
Motor will not start or suddenly stops
No suction.
Vacuum cleaner does not pick up lint or dirt
Dust cup will not lock into vacuum cleaner

Quick Release handle will not lock into
vacuum cleaner

Red "check brush roll" indicator light is on

Brushroll will not turn
Note: Any servicing of the vacuum other than described in this manual shall only be performed by an authorized service representative.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Unit not connected to power source
Switch not turned on
Themal cut-off has operated
Blockage in air path
Dust cup full
Dust Cup Filter clogged
Hepa Filter clogged
Dust Cup Filter not in place
Switch not on proper setting
* Turbo nozzle clogged (selected models only)
Dust Cup Filter not in place
Telescopic wand is extended
Object caught in brush roll
Brush roll not positioned properly
Brush roll not operating properly
Note: "Check brush roll" indicator light turns
on when brush roll is not turning. Brush roll
motor will shut off to prevent damage to motor.
Using brushroll clean pedal on high pile rug/carpet
SOLUTION
• Push plug securely into outlet
• Try another outlet or check circuit breaker
• Check plug and cord for damage
• Correct the cause of motor overheating. See thermal cut-off information
clean out areas #1 & #2
• Empty dust cup
if dust cup does not look full

• Remove and clean debris from turbo nozzle
• Place end of wand into opening at back of vacuum and align ribs into
grooves
• Unplug vacuum, remove debris and threads from brush roll. Depress
brush roll reset button, plug in unit, and continue.
• Check brush roll for threads and debris. Clean if needed
• Make sure both ends of brush roll are free of debris and secured properly
so roll can rotate freely
