IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
 Failure to obey the following instruc-
tions could result in premature wear, water damage,
or other damage to the appliance or its surroundings.
● Before operating this appliance, all packing mate-
rials and transport bolts MUST be removed. Oth-
erwise, the appliance may be seriously damaged
during attempted use (refer to page 7 "Remove
Transport Bolts").
● Prior to initial use, run the appliance through the
cotton and hot water modes without any articles
of fabric inside. This is required to fl ush out any
debris that may be in the hoses or drum.
● Only fabrics suitable for machine laundering and/
or drying should be placed in the appliance.
● Do NOT dry anything containing foam rubber or
similarly textured rubber-like materials.
● Do NOT wash carpets.
● Any sharp or metal objects such as coins, nails,
screws, pebbles, jewelry, hair broaches, or curl-
ers may cause appliance or fabric damage if put
into the appliance.
● Ensure all pockets on clothing are emptied before
laundering.
● Do NOT use fabric softener sheets in the appli-
ance. Use liquid fabric softeners only.
● Disconnect the power and shut off the water sup-
ply when the appliance will NOT be in use.
● NEVER refi ll the water by hand during laundering.
● ALWAYS empty the machine when the cycle has
completed.
● ALWAYS follow the fabric care instructions rec-
ommended by the fabric manufacturer.
● Do NOT use standard powdered detergents with
the appliance. Use caution and limit the quantity of
bleach and other stain removers when pretreating
stained fabric.
● Do NOT use the controls in a manner inconsistent
with the instructions in this manual.
● Check the fi ll hose connection on a regular basis
to ensure there is no leakage.
● Do NOT climb, lean, or sit on the appliance.
● Do NOT close the door with excessive force. If it
is diffi cult to close the door, ensure that the load
is evenly distributed and does NOT exceed the
appliance's capacity (see page 11).

electrical shock, fi re, or suffocation.
● ALWAYS unplug the appliance before perform-
ing any maintenance. Disconnect the power by
grasping the plug, NOT the cord.
● NEVER disconnect the power cord with wet
hands.
● This appliance MUST be repaired by an autho-
rized service center using only authentic ac-
cessories and service parts, unless specifi cally
recommended in the user maintenance instruc-
tions or in published user repair instructions that
you understand and have the skill to implement.
● Do NOT attempt to repair or replace any part of
the appliance unless specifi cally recommended in
the user maintenance instructions or in published
user repair instructions that you understand and
have the skill to implement.
● If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced
by a qualifi ed service professional.
 Failure to obey the following instruc-
tions could result in structural damage to the appliance
or water damage to its surroundings.
● The interior of the appliance should be cleaned
periodically by a qualifi ed service professional.
● The transport bolts MUST be reinstalled by a
qualifi ed technician prior to moving the appliance.
● The accumulated water should be drained from
the appliance prior to moving or servicing the
appliance.
● Handle the appliance carefully. NEVER grasp a
protruding part while lifting the appliance. The
appliance door cannot be used as a handle dur-
ing transport.
● If you decide to dispose your appliance, please
observe local waste disposal regulations. Cut off
the power cord so that the appliance cannot be
connected to a power source. Remove the door
so that animals and small children cannot get
trapped inside the appliance.
