SERVICE POINTS
Shim removal
1. Remove:
• Shims
NOTE:
To ease reassembly and coupling align-
ment, remove the shims and organize them
in their respective groups (e. g., front right,
rear left) prior to removing the mounting
bolts.
Engine mount inspection
1. Inspect:
• Engine mounts
Cracks/damage -> Replace.

Coupling clearance inspection
1. Measure:
• Clearance (a)
• Clearance
(with the rubber damper)
Out of specification -> Adjust.
NOTE:
Measure the clearances with a straightedge
and thickness gauge.
Clearance (a):
0-0.5 mm (0-0.020 in)
Clearance ®:
2-4 mm (0.079-0.157 in)

2. Adjust:
• Clearance @
and
Adjustment steps:
• Adjust the clearance (a) by adding or
removing shims.
• Adjust the clearance ® by moving the
engine unit position.
