ASSEMBLY:
Before assembling the float set we suggest to remove all the "flash" by using 200-grit sandpaper. The float
set is not necessary to paint. If you would like to paint the float and (or) other parts, this is the time to do it.
We do not recommend to paint the bottom of the floats. Please refer to the following points and carefully
proceed the painting procedure.
Wash all of the model with soap and water to remove any grease.
Sand the entire surface to be painted with wet 400 grit sandpaper.
(You may avoid sanding the aileron, elevator and rudder moving part if you wash them well).
Use any fuel resistant paint that you like, we have had good result with " Isofan" , " ABF" or two-
component polyurethane paint.
Test the paint on other ABS material before you paint on the float.
Make sure the paint and thinner will not melt or damage the ABS material.
Apply some drops of nitro fuel on the painted ABS sheet to make sure if the paint is fuel resistant.
Mask tape is needed for the painting job to cover the unpainted area.
Avoid to paint the glue area as CA may damage the paint and cause bad adhesion.
Make sure the linkage is smooth; if not ,remove the paint at the linkage area.
Always wear mask w/filter when doing the painting job as thinner and paint are harmful to your health.

1. Measure the bottom fuselage where gonna install the
landing gear wood block. Includes the outer dimension
"A
"
and inner dimension "B
"
from the two sides of
fuselage.
2. Locate the wood block then use saw to cut away the
excess part base on the outer dimension"A
" .
Epoxy the
two torque wood block on the landing gear wood block
base on the inner dimension "B as shown.

3.Drill 4.2mm (11/64 ) holes through the torque wood
"
mount center on the landing gear wood block groove at
two ends about 10mm(3/8 ) to the edge which depends
"
on the thickness of side fuselage. Note the two holes
are not in line with each other so two landing gear wires
could be installed in the groove.
4.Trim a "U cut right after the firewall so the landing
"
gear wood mount could be installed. Trial fit and trim the
U cut make sure the wood mount is level with the bottom
fuselage. Apply enough epoxy and glue the wood mount
in place.

5. Install the landing gear wire in the wood mount with
four 3x10mm wood screws and landing straps. You may
need to drill 2mm(5/64 ) pilot holes before screwing in
"
the wood screws. Also change the main landing gear
wires come with the kit.
If wire can not fit the wood
mount then you can trim or change new wood mount.

10mm(3/8")
6.Refer to the airplane C.G. and determine the location
of the mounting bracket. You will need to check the
length of the two landing gear block and make sure the
STEP of float is about 10mm(3/8 ) to the C.G. position.
"
Now you can find out the correct position for four
mounting brackets then make marks on the mounting
7.Drill 5mm(13/64 ) holes on the marks at least 30mm
"
( 1-3/16 ) in depth. Disregard the molded dots on the
"
float as they might not at the same position as the marks
you made. Trial fit the plastic sleeve and make sure the
depth is just flush with the sleeve, remove the sleeves
and roughen the plastic sleeves with sandpaper(150 grit).
Glue all sleeves in place with epoxy. Note that the holes
are faced up. Make sure there is no epoxy inside the
hole of sleeve.

8.Sand the glue area of the plug and the hole on the float,
next epoxy the plugs in place. Note the plug w/Rudder
Bush will be at the left float which you will need to drill an
extra hole for the angles brass tube mount later.
9.Locate the Water Rudder, Rudder Shaft and Rivet.
Insert the rivet then use hammer to secure the rudder in
place. Note: The rivet has a hole on one end, suggest to
place a Phillips Screw Driver on the hole then slightly hit
the driver so the rivet will break evenly. Next hit the rivet
directly until water rudder is secured firmly but still can
swivel back.
10 Install the water rudder in the plug w/bush then
secure the Steering Arm in place with 2.6x8mm wood
screw.
11.Apply decals carefully as photo shown then secure
the mounting brackets in place with 3x15mm wood
screws. Note the orientation of the mounting brackets.
Next install the collars and carbon tubes as shown,
adjust the tube then secure the collars with eight 3x3mm
setscrews. Make sure there is no gap between the collar
and mounting bracket.
