About Replacing Slide Rails This document describes how to remove and replace the ARX-1500 and ARX-2500 slide rails. Before You Begin When returning slide rails, you must send along the serial number for the chassis. Use the show chassis command to get the serial number. If you cannot reach the CLI, read the serial number on the front, righthand side of the chassis (under the cooling holes). -

A 1U space between units also provides additional cable routing options. -

Be sure the flange on the slide-chassis member is facing the front of the chassis. Slide the piece toward the back of the chassis until it snaps into place. Repeat this step for the other side. (These are the 4 smaller screws. Save the 2 larger screws to lock the chassis into the equipment rack in step 14.) The following figure shows an installed locking bracket.
