    Receiving and Storage The Universal Analyzers 270SF Extractive Gas Sample Probe are completely pre-assembled. No assembly is necessary when received on-site. Carefully inspect the product and any special accessories included with it immediately on arrival by removing them from the packing and checking for missing articles against the packing list.

    The 270SF filter will mount by means of a pipe flange to a mating flange on the stack. The size of the flange can be specified by the user and can include 2”, 3”, 4”, 6” or DIN type. A 1/2” NPT female threaded connection is provided for the sample probe to mount inside the mounting flange.

    It is better to blowback too often than not often enough. A vacuum gauge in the sample line can be helpful to indicate if the particulate loading of the filter has started to restrict the flow of sample.     Replace the filter with a new one, again handling it with pliers. Ensure that the filter is pushed in the center of the oven so that it is in contact with the O-Ring on the far end of the filter.
