4.3 Verifying Installation
To confirm that the ports have been successfully installed, you can look in Device Manager under 'Ports (COM &LPT), '
and each of the ports you installed will be included on the list with their associated COM numbers. To access Device
Manager, follow the steps below:
1.
Right click on 'My Computer' .
2.
Click 'Manage' in the pop-up menu.
3.
Click 'Device Manager' in the listing on the left.
Expand the 'Ports' section on the right. You should now see the new COM assignment in parenthesis.
Your system will assign the next available COM numbers, which may vary for each computer used. Contact technical
support for help if you cannot locate the COM ports.
