NETWORK CONTROL: Set to ON to enable
controls via a network.
Two different ON modes are selectable.
ON (NETWORK): Operations via a network take
priority.
Log-in via a network is enabled for all the IDs
(ID1, ID2, ID3). While the recorder is connected
to the network, only switching of the live image
on the main monitor is enabled on the panel of
the recorder.
Note
You cannot log-in the recorder when it is in
Playback, Copy or Menu mode. Wait until the
recorder quits the mode.
ON (DVR): Operations on the panel of the
recorder take priority.
Log-in via a network is enabled only for ID1,
enabling only switching of the live image to be
displayed on the network terminal. If the
recorder is switched to Playback mode from the
panel, connection is terminated.
OFF: Control via a network is disabled (default).
NETWORK STATUS: Determine whether to display
a message "NETWORK CONTROL" on the main
monitor while the unit is connected to a network.
IP ADDRESS: Set the address to be used to access
this unit.
For effective addresses, ask your system
administrator.
SUBNET MASK/GATEWAY/PORT: Set the values
according to the network to be connected.
ID/PASSWORD: Set the passwords for network
access (4 to 8 alphanumeric characters).
You can specify three levels of passwords, i.e. ID1,
ID2, and ID3, differing in operable functions.
ID1: Only monitoring the live picture is allowed.
ID2: Operations related to playback and data
storage are allowed. Recording and menu
operations are not allowed.
ID3: All the operations using the buttons displayed
on the browser window are allowed.

Saving/Loading of Menu Settings

You can save the values you set with the menus on a
Compact Flash and load the stored values from the
Compact Flash to restore the menu settings.
Saving the menu settings

Insert a Compact Flash into the slot of this unit.

Display the main menu, then select 7. COPY
MENU SETTINGS.
The COPY MENU SETTINGS display appears.

* IF YOU CHOOSE 'YES' OF THE ABOVE MENU,

Turn the Jog dial to highlight SAVE MENUS TO
CF, and turn the Shuttle dial clockwise to advance
to the next display.
A confirmation message is displayed.

Turn the Jog dial to choose YES, and turn the
Shuttle dial clockwise.
Saving begins.
The progress status is displayed during saving.
When saving is completed, a completion message
is displayed.
To cancel saving before beginning the
operation
Turn the Shuttle dial counterclockwise.
Saving once started cannot be stopped.
