SYMPTON
Unit will not run.
Excessive noise.
Excessive vibration.
Making wet ice
Low ice production.
POSSYBLE CAUSE
Blown fuse.
Loose electrical connection.
Switch in OFF position.
Inoperative master switch.
Spout switch cut-out.
Misaligned V-belt.
Gear reducer loose on frame.
Drive motor end-play or worm
bearings.
Ice formation underneath
blade-frictioning against
rotating drum.
Surrounging air temperature
above 40°C (100°F)
Under-or-over-charge of refrigerant.
Closed AEV.
Faulty compressor valve plate.
Loss of refrigerant, under
or overcharge of refrigerant.
Plugged condenser water tubes.
Low water level in the reservoir.
Overcharge of oil in system.
Water pump out of operation.
Spray bar clogged.
CORRECTION
Replace fuse and check for
cause of blow fuse.
Check wiring.
Turn switch to ON.
Replace switch.
Check ice chute arrangement.
Aligne V-belt.
Tighten.
Repair or replace.
Remove blade amd melt-up
ice formation.
Lower water level to correct
value.
Correct or move unit to cooled
location.
Re-charge with proper amount.
Adjust valve for correct refrigerant
flow.
Repair or replace.
Check and recharge with
proper amount of refrigerant.
Clean condensor.
Check float valve operation.
Check at oil sight glass.
Lower to 1/2 sight glass.
Replace water pump.
Clean spray bar.
