To Adjust The Planing Depth:
1.
CAUTION: Prior to performing any adjustments, make sure the Power
Switch (part #21A*) is in its "OFF" position and that the Power Cord (part
#22A*) is unplugged from its electrical power outlet. (See Figure D.)
2.
To adjust the planing depth, lift up on the Head Lock Lever Assembly (part #52).
Then turn the Handle Assembly (part #11) clockwise to raise the depth, counter-
clockwise to lower the depth. The depth of the Bench Top Planer is indicated by
the Pointer (part #81) and Ruler. The settings on the Ruler run from 0" to 6".

After adjusting the planing depth, make sure to lower the Head Lock Assembly
(part #52) to lock the desired adjustment in position.
To Preset The Depth Gauge:
1.
The planing depth may also be preset in increments of 1/8", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1",
and 1-1/4". (See Figure D.)
2.
To preset the planing depth, lift up on the top Knob of the Thickness Gauge
(part #79) and turn the Knob clockwise or counterclockwise until the Pointer on
the Gauge indicates the desired depth. When the desired planing depth is ac-
quired, allow the Knob to automatically drop down to its locked position.
