INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING

CAUTION: Always turn the Power Switch (part #21A*) to its "OFF" position
and unplug the Power Cord (part #22A*) from its 120 volt electrical outlet
before performing any inspection, adjustments, maintenance, or cleaning.

BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Bench Top Planer and
Stand. Check for loose screws, loose parts, misalignment or binding of moving
parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other condi-
tion that may affect its safe operation. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have
the problem corrected before further use.
Do not use damaged equipment.

DAILY: With a soft brush, cloth, or vacuum, remove all sawdust, wood chips, and
debris from the Bench Top Planer and Stand. Then, use a premium quality,
lightweight machine oil to lubricate all moving parts.
4.
AFTER PLANING APPROXIMATELY 50 FEET OF MATERIAL, turn off the
Bench Top Planer and unplug it from its electrical outlet. Then, check the Screws
(part #19) connecting the Gib (part #23) and Blades (part #22) to the Cutterhead
(part #20) for tightness. (See Figure E.)
