Troubleshooting

Problem
Instrument does not
boot.
Black gap of missing
points in overhead scans.
Display elements cannot
be hit exactly with the
stylus.
Missing points in scan.
Problem
When switching on the
instrument or starting a
scan, the system
switches off automati-
cally.
When switching on the
instrument or starting a
scan, the system
switches off automati-
cally even though it was
totally recharged.
Function
Return to main menu.
Switch between pages in a menu.
Possible Cause(s)
Handle not removed.
Touchscreen not cali-
brated.
Dust, debris or fin-
gerprints on optics of
rotating mirror.
Possible Cause(s)
Capacity of battery is
too low.
Battery charger is
defective.
Damaged cable.
Suggested Remedies
Disconnect from AC
power supply or external
battery. Disconnect all
cables and remove all
internal batteries. Wait
for 1 minute. Reconnect
cables and external
power sources, insert all
internal batteries and
switch on again.
Remove handle and scan
area again.
Recalibrate touchscreen
via Tools>Screen Cali-
bration.
Use glass cleaning tissue
to clean the specific
areas.
Suggested Remedies
Recharge or change bat-
tery.
Check the function of the
battery charger. Please
note the charging status
displayed on the battery
charger.
Examine the cabling and
pay attention to dam-
ages, which for example
can cause loose contacts
or short circuits. Defec-
tive cables need to be
replaced. Only use sup-
plied power cables.
