Clearing the secret number
Allows you to clear your secret number.

Press MENU.

Press a/b to select "Setup", and then press SET/
ENTER.
• Secret number setting menu displays.

Enter your 4-digit secret number with 0 – 9 to cancel
the "Secret No." when you set it.
• Setup menu displays.

Press a/b to select "Parental CTRL", and then
press SET/ENTER.

Press a/b to select "Secret No.", and then press
SET/ENTER.

Press a/b to select "Secret No. Clear", and the
press SET/ENTER.

Press a/b to select "Yes", and the press SET/
ENTER.
• Your secret number is cleared.

Press MENU to exit the menu.

• See page 58 for re-registering with a new secret number
after being cleared.
• Return to the previous menu by pressing MENU RETURN.
• As a precautionary measure, make a note of your
secret number and keep it in a familiar place. If you
lose or forget your secret number, initialize the
Liquid Crystal Television to return all settings except
for the TV channel settings to factory preset values.

Setting parental control status
Used to enable or disable the parental control function.

Press MENU.

Press a/b to select "Setup", and then press SET/
ENTER.
• Secret number setting menu displays only when
"Secret No." is set. (See page 58.)
• "V-Chip" and "Status" will not be selectable from the
menu if you do not first configure your secret number.
(See page 58.)

Enter your 4-digit secret number with 0 – 9 to cancel
the "Secret No." when you set it.

Press a/b to select "Parental CTRL", and then
press SET/ENTER.

Press a/b to select "Status", and then press SET/
ENTER.

Press a/b to select "On" or "Off" , and then press
SET/ENTER.
• Select "On" to enable and "Off" to disable Parental
CTRL.

Press MENU to exit the menu.

• If the secret number is cleared the Status setting
automatically sets to "Off". "V-Chip" and "Status" will not
be selectable from the menu.
• Return to the previous menu by pressing MENU RETURN.
