performs master reset and clears all
user-selectable options, resettable timer,

resets all options back to their original
factory settings except for the unlock
and security codes

list in the display
turns the status light off (to conserve
battery power) and on
set the phone's time and date
switches to three or four lines of display
changes the text displayed in the idle
state
