Maintenance of Water Reservoir The dual compartment reservoir holds approximately 1½ gallons (5.7 liters) of distilled water that remains in the unit between periods of use. Once a month the water reservoir should be drained and replenished. The drain hose, included in the packaging of the unit, is attached and the water is pumped out of the unit.
