Quick Start Manual
Thank you for purchasing the Exposure 2010S CD Player.
Before you start
Contents:

HS-101 Exposure System Remote Control
(batteries included)
Please note that your Exposure 2010S CD Player
may take up to 48 hours to "run-in" before reaching
its optimal performance. Each subsequent "run-in"
will then take about 30 minutes.
For optimum performance,
use Exposure speaker cables with your Exposure equiment.

Installation
a) Connect the mains cable to
the IEC mains input socket.

Amplifier Connection
The Exposure 2010S CD Player is fitted with both analogue and digital audio outputs.
Please use your own preferred cables.

Analogue Output
• Connect RCA Phono sockets to appropriate line input
on the amplifier.
• Make sure right and left channels are properly connected.
(Right channel is marked in red)

Operation
Ensure that your amplifier volume control is set to minimum.
The Exposure 2010S CD Player: Front View
The LED power indicator will light up.
Press power switch.
b) Connect to the mains outlet on the wall. DO NOT
switch on until all input and output connections are
made.
Digital Output
Connect the digital outputs either to:
• An external digital to analogue converter,
or
• To a digital device such as a CDR machine or
minidisc recorder.
(For hints on improving sound quality, please refer to
"Extended Set-Up"overleaf)
The display will illuminate.

Function Controls
Open
Opens and closes the CD loading drawer.
Stop
Stops disc playback.
Play/Pause
Starts disc playback.
Pressing Play/Pause while a disc is playing will pause playback.
Pressing Play/Pause again will resume playback.

Selects the previous track in sequence.

Selects the next track in sequence.
Display
Press once to turn display off. The display willstay off until
another button is pressed, and it will then go off again after
a short delay. Press Display again to turn it back on.

Remote Control
Press the black CD button on the remote control first in order to use the grey
function buttons.

Direct access track functions
Display
Press once to turn display off. The
display will stay off until another
button is pressed, and it will then

on.
PROG
Programmable track selection.
RANDOM
Random track selection.
TIME
Track time countdown.
RPT
Track/disc repeat.
PREV
Selects the previous track in
sequence.
NEXT
Selects the next track in
sequence.
<SEARCH> Press and hold<for Backward
Scan. Press and hold>for Forward
Scan.
Open
Opens and closes the CD loading
drawer.
Stop
Stops disc playback.
Play/
Starts disc playback.
Pause
Pressing Play/Pause while a disc
