    TSBC Series System Installation Guide Connecting to the Control Network The TSBC-HW-TRANS Control network enables communication between the TSBC-HW-SRV and the TSBC-HW-TRANS. Prerequisites To connect the TSBC-HW-TRANS, you will need: • Two CAT5 Ethernet cables with RJ45 male-male terminations. Connections The TSBC-HW-TRANS is connected to the control network using two CAT5 Ethernet cables, as shown Figure 4.1 on page 26.

    Installing the TSBC-HW-TRANS Connecting to the Transcoding Network The TSBC-HW-TRANS features dual GigE ports for connection to the transcoding networks. Should one of the IP networks fail, the TSBC-HW-TRANS will continue to manage VoIP traffic using the alternate network. The IP address of the VoIP ports can be modified using the web portal. Note: The TSBC-HW-TRANS requires two (2) gigabit layer 2 Ethernet switches.
