Creating a backup of your footage & preparing for editing
1. Remove the SD Memory card & insert into your computer SD card slot.
2. Create a folder with your name & date one.
3. This can be on the Local Temp Drive of that machine to safeguard it from deletion.
4. Save the complete contents of the SD Memory card into this folder.
5. It is also best practise to make another copy of this folders contents onto another memory stick or external
hardrive of your own.
6. Remove the SD card from the Computer.
7. This will make sure that you are working from your locally saved version & not the SD card. This will also
mean it will work faster when editing & avoid loss of data.
8. You are then ready to edit
9. Open Adobe Premiere Pro Application
10. Import your footage
11. Start editing. Please refer to Premiere Pro Lessons or teach yourself using YouTube videos.
